Hidrofer started its activity in 1975 as a small private company with only 4 employees. Its founders, Carlos Alberto and Maria Manuela Silva, decided to create their own business upon returning from Mozambique. They rented a disabled cotton mill and started the project.
In a short time frame, the company felt the need to grow physically and in 1981 acquired new premises. In 1983, it increased its production capacity due to the investment in new technology and the establishment of valuable business partnerships.
In 1986, the company initiated a policy of diversification of its commercial offer, with more technological investment and the marketing of new products such as cotton wool pleats, cotton balls, cotton buds, bandages and indapox.
This growth strategy was based on four basic principles of the company's founders: quality, value creation, technology and service which enabled Hidrofer to become the market leader in the Iberian Peninsula today.
To be a company of reference in the cotton wool sector, keeping up with the new technological developments and market trends, always insuring the innovation, quality and safety of their products
Our vision is to be the first choice of our clients through the creation of added value for their consumers, customers and shareholders.
